Jesus Gave EVERYTHING!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

"The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life." Luke 9:22




JESUS GAVE EVERYTHING for you and for me.....let's spend some time thinking about these 3 capitalized words:


JESUS: What Does He Mean To You?


GAVE: How & What Did He Give To You?


EVERYTHING: What Does Everything Mean?


As we experience God during the GREATEST week of all weeks for us as Christians, Good Friday & Easter, God so wants to be EVERYTHING in our lives! God is calling us to never forget The Cross & The EMPTY Tomb! Our Redeemer is ALIVE! Jesus GAVE His Life for you, to GIVE His life to you! What Amazing Grace!! JESUS LIVES!


Is Jesus ALIVE in and through our lives in a fresh meaningful way that we can share with someone that needs Him? Good News=Today is a New Fresh Day!


What a perfect opportunity we have to REMEMBER!
Remember what Jesus has done for us!
Remember where Jesus found us!
Remember where Jesus has brought us!
Remember the reasons that Jesus has saved us!
Remember all the pain and suffering that Jesus went through just for us!
Remember the gifts Jesus has given us!
Remember those around us that still need JESUS!

How will others that are searching for LIFE=JESUS find it?

Others will find Jesus as we keep Sharing ♥Jesus♥!

The Cross and The Tomb is EMPTY so that your lives can be FOREVER FULL with JESUS....

Lord, make me a servant like Mary

"And Mary said, 'Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.' And the angel departed from her" (Luke 1:38, ESV).

I wish I was like Mary. I think if an angel came upon me and told me I was pregnant, I might not have responded with "behold, I am a servant of the Lord, let it be." In fact, I'm sure I would have been startled speechless. When I am really scared, I can't scream much less speak at all. Even when I came too, I think I would not have responded so favorably - and especially if I was young and unmarried. I know if you haven't had a child, you might not know what it all entails but having had several miscarriages and one miracle child, I can assure you it was one of the most physically trying experiences of my life. Being a mother might be the greatest blessing, but getting there wasn't. I'm sure Mary didn't know all she would encounter, but I love that she had such a positive outlook on it all. I love that she declared, "I am a servant...let it be!"

This Christmas, I pray you have a "Mary" Christmas. I pray that no matter what God calls you to do, that you will serve the Lord with gladness. I pray that you (and I) will respond and be willing to serve. It might be cleaning the house, going that extra mile to help someone with a screaming child at the mall, letting someone have the parking space that you had been waiting on, putting up with relatives that seem impossible, or helping do the cooking and the dishes. Whatever God calls us to do, let's just do it and be servants who shine with Jesus as we serve! You pray for me and I will pray for you. Have a "Mary" Christmas and let's serve the Lord with gladness!

Spilled Coke...a Light????

"Let your light shine before others so that that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven ." (Mathew 5:16)

As I was reading Jaye's blog from last Monday on spilled coffee, that reminded me of an incident a couple days ago. This week I am in Houston while my Dad is in the hospital. My mom and I have spent many hours in the waiting room. The waiting room was very crowded and we were sitting in close proximity to several other women. I was drinking a coke and realized I knocked it over.

Before I could even get up to go get paper towels, one of the other women in the area jumped up to go get paper towels to blot it up. Then her friend with her, an 86 year old woman, got up to get more paper towels. Both of them showed such a servant attitude and joyful countenance that I thought to myself, "They must be Christians." As we started a conversation, it was evident that they were indeed Christians.

Their simple act of service in a crowded waiting room to a person (me) who they did not know at all really stood out in a world where most people are only concerned about themselves. This was a good reminder that even little acts of service to others can be an avenue to "let their little light shine."

May we all look for opportunities for little acts of service that could make a difference in someone else's life.
