Circle of Influence Evangelism

Last night I was teaching in the Seminary Wives Institute at Southern on the topic of women and evangelism. The challenge from last week was to look around at people in our circles of influence and to share a gospel booklet with at least one person.

This week was a cold one for Louisville. We had about seven inches of snow and it was bitter cold. One of the wives shared how she had made and iced sugar cookies with her toddlers, when she looked out the window and saw the postman's truck coming down the street. She quickly put some milk in the microwave to make some hot chocolate, grabbed a few of the homemade sugar cookies (with the toddlers' thumbprints), and stuck the gospel booklet in the napkin to give to the mailman.

Giving out the little booklet did not require time, it did not require knowledge, it did not require a seminary education---it consisted of being intentional in looking for someone with whom to share the tract.

Lord, let us all be intentional in looking at the circle of people around us and share Your Good News with them.
