Last night we had another evening with Seminary Wives Institute on evangelism at Southern Seminary. At the end of each night, the ladies divide up into groups of three people to pray for lost people in their lives. So - each group has been praying for at least three unbelievers every day of the week individually and then as a group.
One of the student wives shared last night that one of the people she had been praying for was her brother-in-law. Her husband had been doing a Bible study in the book of John over the past four weeks with his brother over the phone (long distance). She continued to share that her brother-in-law accepted Christ this week on the phone. THAT IS SO EXCITING! We should all be encouraged by the power of the message we have to share and that people are actually waiting for someone to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them.
Whether it is by phone, by e-mail, by Facebook, small groups, or one-on-one over a cup of coffee, let us try to engage someone in a Bible study and continue to PRAY that their hearts would be receptive to the gospel. I have been challenged by what this young wife shared. Let us continue to challenge and encourage each other in the important task of evangelism.
