Skype and the Gospel

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age'" (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV).

A few weeks ago, Alicia Wong of North American Mission Board (NAMB), was with us at Southern Seminary, via Skype. Alicia serves as a national missionary for women's evangelism and presented at Pendergraph Women's Ministry. Her tips on reaching women was quite helpful. Alicia shared some truths on how to get to know and develop relationships with women of different cultures. Heather Reynolds, a recent Southern Seminary grad and also with NAMB, told us how she had gotten involved in meeting women of different cultures. God's Spirit was there and many of us realized how easy it is to go to international restaurants and get to know those who work and dine there. All were blessed.

What a difference technology can make! What are some of the things you have done or seen in using technology to help women to connect and learn to share Christ?
