Let's Take a Walk

Chris and I absolutely love walking in our neighborhood, particularly with our little dog Chaser. Isn't he cute? For one we have some awesome hills to get that heart rate up and the scenery really couldn't be more beautiful as we live very near the lake and many plush trees. We walk (because these days I am with child :)) so much that a neighbor recently kidded us that our dog got the most exercise of anyone around, probably true. These little strolls make for the perfect opportunity to find new friends, and that's precisely what happened late last summer when we met Eddie and Kimberly. It started off as a friendly hello as we trotted by each day and evolved to dinner at each other's homes. It was effortless, easy. All it took was a little time, kindness, willingness, and the ability to whip up some yummy dinner. This relationship of course has presented us with a great opportunity to share about the grace of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus! So far we've learned that our new friends are open to church but to this point seem pretty clueless about real relationship with Christ Jesus! Ah, how I love to see His salvation come and hope to see it in this family of 3 as Kimberly gave birth to their new little addition about 6 months ago. So, I'll tell ya what. We will keep going to keep going on our little walks and I'll let you know what happens as we go. Who knows what the Lord has in mind, but I'll tell ya this, we are willing vessels.

But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests though us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the tone an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
