a heartbeat for the nations

"Then they asked him, 'What must we do to do the works God requires?'

Jesus answered, 'The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.'

So they asked him, 'What miraculous sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'

Jesus said to them, 'I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world'" (John 6:28-33, NIV).

Who is our bread? It baffles me that this is what Jesus asks of us - to believe that He is God and that He came to save us. He craves a relationship with us. He is our "bread of life."

Our Savior brings life. Does the world know?

As people across the world face disasters, chase false loves, and walk through life, many do not know this King over all.

Recently, I have been reading Operation World by Patrick Johnstone and Jason Mandryk. It fascinates me to learn about different cultures in this book. With the advice of one of my professors, I am reading it often and have enjoyed being able to pray specifically for people around the world.

Do you have ideas of how we can pray or what we can do for the nations today?

I pray that God gives us hearts and minds that never forget to live love towards His creation and His people.
